Circo Nero was born in Florence in 2006 from the love for the magical poignant world of the circus when it arrived with its tent and its bizarre characters in a snowy and cold Florence, bringing warmth and tearing smiles from young and old.

It was born from the shock of Tod Browning's film "Freaks" in 1932, a hymn to tolerance set in crisis America where the "different", precisely the Freaks, were exposed and derided for their physical "monstrosities".

The Black Circus makes Tolerance and Joy its flag by revisiting the world of the circus in a key of Style, dressing each of its characters with clothes created by emerging Florentine and non-Florentine stylists, creating a real Made in Italy Fashion Show. in a city like Florence which is a hub of fashion, style and creativity worldwide.
